Job Summary
Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform echocardiograms by IAC standards, ensuring high-quality images for cardiologist interpretation.
- Conduct two-dimensional and M-mode echocardiography with color flow Doppler for adult and pediatric patients.
- Set up and assist with transesophageal echocardiograms, including contrast agent injections.
- Complete all paperwork accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to safety standards.
- Rotate on-call and standby duties with other technologists, ensuring weekend and holiday coverage.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of department equipment and software, including Philips and Meditech systems.
Qualifications
- BLS certification required.
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification required.
- Experience in performing adult TTEs and TEEs required.
- Preferred experience with stress and dobutamine stress echocardiograms.
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR and CPACS systems preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
