Day shift hours may shift slightly due to scheduled patients. Job requires good communication skills, attention to detail, and most importantly patient centeredness. Equipment: Siemens cameras (Symbias, Intevo SPECT/CT, and Biograph MCT Flow PET/CT). Will be expected to provide care to patients in General NM and/or PET/CT. The position supports clinical research, imaging protocols, and specialized nuclear medicine workflows within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment, with research as a primary focus. The role involves collaborating with other teams to perform research imaging procedures, assist with radiopharmaceutical therapies, and maintain accurate/compliant documentation, create necessary documentation to help other NM techs perform the NM portion of the research, while also conducting standard-of-care exams as needed. This position contributes to advancing patient care through innovative research while upholding high standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence. Local travelers within 75 miles are not accepted at this facility. Weekend call coverage is from 8am to 5pm for GI bleeds, bio-leaks, VQs, and brain death cases, and we were only called in five times last year. Compact or KY State License (required at time of submission) Local Radius: Cath Lab RN, IR RN, and Radiology: 75 miles All Other Specialties: 100 miles Locals Rule: not accepted References Required Candidates will float within hospital or to an affiliate hospitals near by Return Staff Policy: Gone for 6 months to return as traveler MOST units require level 1 trauma experience- please refer to the job description to verify License Hits : University of Kentucky WILL NOT accept any licensure hits. If you are submitting a traveler with a license hit, the submission will be rejected. PLEASE READ : For this health system- we MUST know at time of submission if they have previously worked at this facility . This must be noted on the profile in order to check their eligibility for rehire. Rehire eligibility at UK is checked by HR every Friday and should this eligibility check come back as ineligible post-offer, your traveler may be cancelled. Please discuss with your traveler at time of submission and ensure they are aware. PACU Call Policy : Response time: 1 hour Call hours: Weekday call will be 8PM-6AM. Weekends will be divided into 2 shifts- 6AM-6PM or 6PM-6AM. Weekend begins Saturday 6AM and ends Monday morning at 6AM. Floating requirements: PACU to close at 8PM- any patients left recovering will be transferred to main PACU to complete recovery. The IR PACU call team will follow the patient to main OR PACU. IR PACU team will ONLY be responsible for recovering IR PACU patients in the main PACU.
