Description

American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with strong NMT/PET skills and research environment experience for a 26-week contract assignment.

Details

  • Hospital-based Nuclear Medicine department within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
  • Primary focus on clinical research imaging, with standard-of-care exams performed as needed
  • Procedures include General NM and PET/CT imaging, radiopharmaceutical therapies, and specialized nuclear medicine research protocols
  • Equipment includes Siemens Symbias, Intevo SPECT/CT, and Biograph MCT Flow PET/CT cameras
  • Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (shift times may vary slightly based on patient scheduling)
  • Call required approximately once every 9 weeks

Requirements

  • Strong NMT and PET skills required
  • Prior exposure to research environments required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • 2 supervisor references from within the last 3 years required for consideration
  • All certifications must be provided for consideration
  • License required if applicable

Additional Information

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to perform research imaging procedures and assist with radiopharmaceutical therapies
  • Create and maintain accurate documentation to support other NM technologists in performing the NM portion of research protocols
  • Uphold high standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across research and standard-of-care workflows
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a patient-centered approach are essential for this role
  • Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
  • Candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
  • All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at time of consideration; RTO requests made after submission will not be approved
