RTO : RTO Restrictions : Client prefers that travelers only request one holiday bundle max (holiday bundles include: Block 1: Thanksgiving the day after; Block 2: Christmas Eve Christmas Day 5 ; Block 3: NYE NYD ; however if the traveler requires more than this, RTO will be requested upon offer. No RTO can be requested during the first 7 days of the contract or on the last day of the contract. If traveler can cut their RTO down to just 7 days or less for all units (except for PCU, which is RTO 10 days or less), and there are no major holidays included, then AM can automatically approve RTO without asking the client and speed up the offer process. Please encourage clinician to cut RTO down to 7 days or less to speed up process if possible. Otherwise RTO will be requested upon offer. Marketing submissions : Facility will NOT accept marketing submissions, even if they are a return traveler and the unit manager reached out to them and asked them to return. Please pay attention to NOVA and only submit over once you see a need open up. * 100 mileage radius effective 3/10/2026 please redirect if clinician lives within 100 miles of facility this includes extensions Please ensure traveler has a (non-local) Driver s License uploaded to their file ASAP as this is a facility compliance requirement. If they do NOT have a valid DL, they must provide a written statement outlining their transportation plan to get to and from the hospital. Please note that personal transportation is required for travelers working at the Metropolitan Detention Center. Due to its location public transportation and ride-sharing are not available for that location License can pend at the time of submission For all Behavioral Health and related positions : if not yet MOAB certified, traveler will take in-person MOAB certification course as part of orientation during first week. If traveler does not pass the course, their contract will immediately be terminated. * If your traveler already has the MOAB cert in hand, please send a copy with submission and there will be a $5 rate bump upon verification offer. PCU, ICU And L D Units 36 48 hour contract available, please indicate travelers preference with submittal Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center Min yrs of Exp: 1-2 yrs for most units. (ER requires previous travel exp. 99% of the time) EKG P/F Exam : UNMH has 1 pass/fail exam and it is the Arrhythmia Competence Exam. Traveler s have 2 chances to pass the exam. If the traveler fails the 1 st attempt, the traveler is required to meet with clinical for remediation and additional coaching on what they got incorrect. This test is given to the following units, RNs only. First attempt must be taken within 4 days of signing. Required for the following : Adult ICU Trauma ICU, Neuro ICU, Medical ICU, PICU, Adult ED, Peds ED, Adult PCU MS/Tele, PAAU Adult Admissions Inpatient PCU, WSC Women s special care PCU, L D, Floor Pediatric Units all peds units **EXCLUDING Psych Peds RN, Mother Baby Unit (MBU), NICU, Peds OR, Adult and Pediatric PACU including PACU holding , OSIS PACU **EXCLUDING OSIS OR, Pre-Op and Peds Pre-op, Cath Lab RNs, Dialysis RNs, Peds Dialysis RNs, Endoscopy RNs, Adult and Pediatric Urgent Care, IR RN New contracts and extensions must be at least 10 weeks 6 month break is required for any travelers that have worked 4 consecutive assignments or reached their one year mark, whichever comes first Perm Employees applying for travel : Allowed to return as travelers if they have been out of the system for 12 months or more. Effective 9/2022 OT Policy : OT must be approved by client before being worked. Approval for OT is rare. Please be sure clinicians are aware of this OT policy prior to submittal Preceptor Pay : this facility does not offer an increased rate for preceptor shifts Compliance Info : Due to UNM strict requirements and deadline, candidate must be fully available and ready to work on compliance the first 1-2 weeks after signing. Drug screens are required to be completed within 30 days of starting, if they sign ahead of that period, they must be committed to going to the lab within a few days of the 30-day mark communicated by the CS. Please ensure any vacation time or schedule conflicts are communicated prior to submittal.
