The AAU takes admitted patients from the Emergency Department and begins the inpatient standard of care until patients can be placed on one of the 11 progressive care units at UNMH (all units are a mix of MS, MS/tele and PCU acuity. This unit requires the ability to handle frequent turn and burn of patients (both transferring out and admitting).
