Plastics with gender affirming surgeries, free flap reconstruction, and ENT with new tracheostomies and airway management.Frequent flap monitoring with our ENT and plastics patients. Special Procedures/Unit Details : We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN): Elevate your nursing career at Wisconsin s #1 hospital on a dynamic unit where you'll care for patients across four specialties: Gynecology, Urology, Plastics, and ENT. Be a part of an innovative interdisciplinary team that supports and educates patients undergoing specialized procedures like free flap monitoring for breast reconstruction after mastectomy, as well as providing patient and family education following urinary diversion surgeries to get patients confident in caring for themselves at home. This unit provides excellent experience with airway management, including new tracheostomies, for RNs who may want to work in the critical care setting in the future. Special Equipment : Tracheostomy and surgical experience required. Gynecology, urology, plastic, and colorectal experience required (at least 2 of 4 of these required)Traveler will be required to pass Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start. #Tier3 Travel Compliance Floating : Travelers are required to float as needed. Local Rule : 50 miles from the facility. Locals not accepted. Minimum experience : Inpatient RN travelers must have two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty they are submitting to . References : please remove all references. Pass /Fail Testing required with strict passing criteria. A telemetry exam will be required prior to start. The following criteria must be met in two attempts: Adult Exam: 100% identification of lethal rhythms: Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole No incorrect answers on questions regarding 3 rd degree heart blocks [1 incorrect answer will cause failure] Passing score of 80% or higher Pediatric Exam Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole, and sinus bradycardia Passing score of 80% or higher Attempts: Traveler will have two attempts to pass. If the traveler fails the second attempt they will submit a certificate of completion of a cardiac interpretation review course to Vaya before a third attempt will be assigned. If the traveler does not pass after three attempts the assignment will be cancelled.
