This position will be 90% phone triage and 10% in clinic support of provider. Special Procedures/Unit Details : Coordinating care for patients. This includes setting patients up with appointments of port placements, imaging, labs, infusion room, etc. Providing education to patients about treatment and leading patients through treatment. Answering telephone triage which could be for symptom management concerns or coordinating care. Come work in the UW Health Breast Center, accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), and care for our inspiring patients!We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to:Deliver compassionate, multidisciplinary, coordinated care for all breast patients through comprehensive and personalized patient-centered care.Work in partnership with breast cancer patients and families through prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment and survivorship.Provide patient education and coordinate care for patients who have been diagnosed with breast cancer or other breast conditions.Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team that includes genetic counselors, breast surgeons, plastic surgeons, medical oncologist, radiologist, radiation oncologist and advanced practice providers.Use targeted assessment skills to assess patients during visits and via telephone triage.This position will be 90% phone triage and 10% in clinic support of provider. Special Equipment : n/a #Tier3 Travel Compliance Floating : Travelers are required to float as needed. Local Rule : 50 miles from the facility. Locals not accepted. Minimum experience : Inpatient RN travelers must have two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty they are submitting to . References : please remove all references. Pass /Fail Testing required with strict passing criteria. A telemetry exam will be required prior to start. The following criteria must be met in two attempts: Adult Exam: 100% identification of lethal rhythms: Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole No incorrect answers on questions regarding 3 rd degree heart blocks [1 incorrect answer will cause failure] Passing score of 80% or higher Pediatric Exam Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole, and sinus bradycardia Passing score of 80% or higher Attempts: Traveler will have two attempts to pass. If the traveler fails the second attempt they will submit a certificate of completion of a cardiac interpretation review course to Vaya before a third attempt will be assigned. If the traveler does not pass after three attempts the assignment will be cancelled. Eastpark Medical Center - UW Health s new state-of-the-art ambulatory facility will transform the patient experience and offer cutting-edge proton therapy. This 469,000-square-foot ambulatory facility will house many specialties, including women s complex care, adult cancer care, advanced imaging and laboratory services and innovative clinical trials. It will be located across from East Madison Hospital on Eastpark Blvd. and is slated to open in fall 2024. Parking: Free parking onsite.
