We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to: Float across multiple departments and specialties caring for complex and dynamic patient populations in a variety of both medical and surgical general care units and intermediate care (IMC) units. Provide high-quality, evidence-based care utilizing critical thinking skills to evaluate and assess patients, recognize and escalate complications, and administer appropriate nursing interventions while demonstrating a commitment to patient and family centered nursing care. Partner with dynamic multidisciplinary teams of nurses, nursing assistants, coordinated care roles, therapists, advanced practice providers, medical teams, and more, honing interpersonal communication skills and effectively delegating tasks as needed. Special Equipment : Expected to float to Neuro and oncology, hard stop. Must have experience working in different Med/Surg units (cardiac, spine, neuro).Must have Basic Arrhythmia experience. Traveler will be required to pass Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start. #Tier3 Travel Compliance Floating : Travelers are required to float as needed. Local Rule : 50 miles from the facility. Locals not accepted. Minimum experience : Inpatient RN travelers must have two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty they are submitting to . References : please remove all references. Pass /Fail Testing required with strict passing criteria. A telemetry exam will be required prior to start. The following criteria must be met in two attempts: Adult Exam: 100% identification of lethal rhythms: Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole No incorrect answers on questions regarding 3 rd degree heart blocks [1 incorrect answer will cause failure] Passing score of 80% or higher Pediatric Exam Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole, and sinus bradycardia Passing score of 80% or higher Attempts: Traveler will have two attempts to pass. If the traveler fails the second attempt they will submit a certificate of completion of a cardiac interpretation review course to Vaya before a third attempt will be assigned. If the traveler does not pass after three attempts the assignment will be cancelled.
