Description

Job Description:

Supplemental Health Care is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support a federal government health clinic in Arlington, VA. This unique opportunity allows you to provide high-quality nursing care in a federal government health setting, serving a diverse patient population.


Qualifications:

-Graduate of an accredited nursing program (community college, junior college, college, university, or vocational program) approved by the appropriate state agency and accredited by NLNAC or CCNE

-Current and valid unrestricted LPN license in one U.S. state, territory, or commonwealth

-ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification

-Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association)

-At least 1 year of LPN experience after graduation

-Must meet Exhibit 5 requirements for Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses (per contract standards)


Contract Details:

-$1,178 - $1,250 per week*

-Location - Arlington, VA

-Setting - Federal Government Health Clinic

-52-week contract, with possibility to extend

-40 hours per week


Key Responsibilities:

-Provide direct patient care to variable populations, using sound judgment to determine the order of care, treatments, and procedures

-Accurately assess, observe, and document patient conditions, reporting significant changes to the RN or physician

-Prepare and administer prescribed medications (oral, topical, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and IV)

-Recognize and respond to urgent or emergent patient care needs, initiating emergency interventions as directed

-Support diagnostic and specialized procedures, including preparing patients, assisting during exams, and handling specialized instruments or equipment

-Educate patients and families regarding care plans, treatments, and health practices
