Job Description:
Supplemental Health Care is seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a contract assignment at a partnering Hospital in Juneau, Alaska. The Nuclear Medicine Tech will play a vital role in patient diagnosis and treatment by preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals and capturing high-quality imaging studies for physicians.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field
- Certification from NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board) or ARRT (N) required
- State licensure (if applicable)
- BLS certification required
- Minimum of 1–2 years of recent nuclear medicine experience
- Strong technical expertise, safety knowledge, and patient care focus
Nuclear Med Tech Contract Details:
- $2,980 - $3,030 per week* estimated weekly
- 6 weeks, with possibility to extend
- Hospital setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, calculate, and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic procedures
- Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment to capture accurate images
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety and comfort
- Analyze images and collaborate with physicians on diagnostic findings
- Maintain compliance with radiation safety and regulatory standards
- Document patient records, imaging results, and dosage information
