Job Description:
Supplemental Health Care is seeking experienced Pathologists’ Assistant for travel contract opportunities at a partnering Hospital in Tucson, Arizona. Join a leading healthcare team and put your imaging skills to work in a role that offers both professional growth and rewarding patient care.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in biological or biomedical sciences
- Completion of a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists’ Assistant program
- 3–5 years of experience in an academic or teaching hospital setting
- Strong organizational skills and ability to train and support staff
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work flexible hours
- Comfortable working in an indirect patient-care environment with standard precautions
Travel Pathologist Assistant Contract Details:
- $3,000 - $3,181 per week*
- 13-week contract with possibility to extend

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform gross examination, dissection, photography, and dictation for surgical specimens of all complexity levels
- Assist with frozen sections and intra-operative consultations
- Support autopsy procedures as required
- Orient specimens and serve as a liaison between surgeons and pathologists
- Evaluate renal biopsy adequacy and prepare tissue for diagnosis
- Maintain quality standards, instrument care, and specimen documentation
- Provide education and training to residents, fellows, and medical students
- Maintain secure photography archives and assist with research and procedural updates
