Travel Nurse RN - Long Term Acute Care

Position Overview:

The Long-Term Acute Care Registered Nurse provides planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care to medically complex patients in a long-term acute setting. This role is closer to a hospital step-down unit than traditional LTC.

Location: Select Specialty Hospital – Aurora West Allis, Milwaukee County, WI

Pay: $1,980/week (Local) | $2,188/week (Travel)

Contract Details:

• Duration: 13 weeks (opportunity to extend)
• Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week, every other weekend

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality care to patients requiring vents, trachs, drips, and wound care
• Monitor and manage medically complex patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and patient safety standards

Minimum Requirements:

• Active RN license in Wisconsin
• 1.5+ years recent LTACH or ICU experience
• Experience with vents, trachs, drips, and wound care
• Current CPR certification
• TB/PPD or chest X-ray
• Experience in acute rehabilitation for vents, wound care,cardiac, and stable post trauma patients
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
• Must be at least 18 years of age
