Emergency Department Registered Nurse - Night Shift

A high-acuity Emergency Department is seeking experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurses to provide rapid assessment, critical intervention, and high-quality patient care in a Level 1 trauma environment. This role requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to work under pressure, and a commitment to delivering safe, efficient care in emergent situations.

 

Position Overview

The Emergency Department RN is responsible for applying the nursing process in a fast-paced emergency setting, managing both routine and life-threatening conditions. This includes triage, stabilization, ongoing assessment, and collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary teams. Candidates must be comfortable working in a Level 1 trauma environment and managing high-acuity patient populations.

 

Position Details

•         Modality: RN – Emergency Room

•         Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

•         Shift Days: Weekdays and weekends

•         Hours per Week: 36

•         Contract Length: 13 weeks

•         Start Date: March 16, 2026

•         Charting System: Epic

 

Key Responsibilities

•         Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department and other emergent care areas.

•         Perform rapid assessments, triage, and implement evidence-based interventions.

•         Administer medications, treatments, and emergency procedures as appropriate.

•         Document care accurately within the Epic charting system.

•         Collaborate with physicians, trauma teams, and support staff.

•         Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.

 

Minimum Requirements

•         Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.

•         Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.

•         Must be at least 18 years of age.

 

Required Experience and Certifications:

•         Minimum 3+ years of Level 1 trauma ED experience.

•         BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC required.
