Amergis is currently seeking experienced ER Transport Nurse Specialist RNs for TRAVEL assignments in Washington D.C. !

 

Position Details:

Contract Length: 13 wks

Number of Openings: 2

Start Date: 6/15

Hours/Shifts/Schedules: Days 36 hrs/wk (3x12s) available!

*Every other weekend, every other holiday

 

Setting/Day to day

• Hospital
• EMR: Cerner
• The Transport Nurse Specialist (TNS) provides safe and therapeutic care during inter-hospital transport of a wide variety of patients from infants through adults. 
• The nurse autonomously conducts the initial and ongoing patient assessment, clinical stabilization, and provision of diagnostic, medical, and surgical interventions during transport. 
• The nurse collaborates with other health team members and other individuals to problem solve and implement treatment modalities in an effort to Amergisize patient outcomes. 
• The TNS supports the mission of GW, the Center for Trauma and Critical Care, and Emergency Services by establishing and maintaining constructive departmental and inter-organizational relationships.

 

Requirements

• 2+ years of ER/ED or ICU experience
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC 

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care in the emergency room setting or other emergent critical care areas.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse License within the state of practice
• Minimum of one year emergency room experience preferred
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable   
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements    
• Must be at least 18 years of age
