Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift
Contract Length: 13 Weeks Hours: 48 hours per week Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM Start Date: 06/29/2026 Interview: Phone interview with Float Pool Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Central Float assignment covering three hospital locations within the same health system. Nurses will float between designated sites but will not travel to more than one facility per shift. Current staff on this assignment report a highly positive experience.
This role is ideal for a confident, adaptable ER nurse who thrives in fast-paced, high-acuity environments and enjoys variety in their work setting.
Assignment Structure
Central Float between three hospitals within the same system
Advance notice provided for each assigned location
Majority of shifts typically scheduled at the main medical center
Recommended housing: Greenville, NC (central to all float locations)
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care in a Level I Trauma environment
Respond quickly and effectively to critical patient needs
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across multiple facilities
Maintain accurate documentation within Epic
Adapt to varying workflows and unit cultures while upholding consistent clinical excellence
Minimum Requirements
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience
Level I Trauma experience required
Active RN license
Ability to float between multiple facilities
Strong clinical judgment and adaptability
Orientation & First Day
Orientation: Two-day classroom orientation on Monday, followed by meeting the Float Manager and unit-based orientation
Additional Details
Dress Code: Scrubs (business casual on first day)
Feedback: Typically within 48–72 hours of submission
Work Environment: Supportive leadership, communicative nurse manager, and a long-standing relationship with the health system
