The department provides comprehensive emergency care across the lifespan and continues to expand its clinical capabilities to meet increasing community demand. The ED is currently preparing for a May 2026 survey as part of its application to become a Primary Stroke Center, reflecting ongoing investments in emergency, trauma, and neurologic care. Patient Population, Volume & Acuity The Emergency Department treats patients of all ages, backgrounds, and cultures with a wide range of medical, surgical, traumatic, respiratory, neurologic, and behavioral health presentations. • Average daily ED volume: Approximately 60–80 visits per day • Peak volume: Can exceed 100 visits per day • Annual ED volume: Approximately 24,000–25,000 visits per year • Trauma volume: 400+ trauma cases annually • Stroke activity: 400+ stroke activations per yearCharting System:EPICClient Interview Required:Yes
