Registered Nurse (RN) – Urology Ambulatory Clinic

Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week | Day Shift

Position Summary

As an RN in our Urology Ambulatory Clinic, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care and education throughout the treatment journey. Responsibilities include:

• Administering medications and treatments
• Performing bladder instillations and other urology-related procedures
• Providing patient education before and after procedures
• Conducting telephone triage and patient follow-up communications
• Coordinating care and supporting patients in an outpatient setting
• Assisting with catheter-related care and interventions

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
• Minimum 1 year of acute care/inpatient nursing experience
• Ambulatory clinic experience required
• Telephone triage experience required
• Comfortable performing catheterizations and managing catheter-related care
• Current RN license in good standing

Preferred Qualifications

• Urology nursing experience in either ambulatory or acute care settings
• Experience with catheters, drains, and procedural patient care
• Ambulatory, Emergency Department (ED), or procedural nursing experience
• Walk-in triage experience

Highly Desired Qualifications

• Chemotherapy and/or Oncology nursing experience

The Oncology Registered Nurse evaluates, plans, implements and documents nursing care for the oncology patient population. The Oncology Registered Nurse works in hospitals and outpatient care centers where patients receive cancer treatments.  In hospital settings, the Oncology Registered Nurse assists with surgery prep, patient education and coordination of their cancer treatments.  In outpatient care center settings, the Oncology Registered Nurse typically helps with treatments such as chemotherapy and infusions while monitoring patients’ vitals, side effects, and pain.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current RN license in state practicing
• One (1) year of experience in oncology nursing preferred
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) 
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
• Must be at least 18 years of age
