Description

Amergis is searching for a full-time RN nurse manager (contract services manager) for an Immigrations and Customs detention center located in Port Isabel, TX.

Position Summary

The Contract Services Manager (CSM) serves as the onsite leader for contract healthcare personnel supporting ICE Health Services Corps (IHSC). This role oversees staffing operations, employee performance, scheduling, training, compliance, and human resources functions while serving as the primary liaison between contract staff and Government Technical Monitors (GTMs). The CM ensures high-quality healthcare staffing support, operational continuity, and compliance with IHSC policies and federal standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, manage, and support all contract healthcare personnel at the assigned facility.
  • Plan, schedule, assign, and direct staff to meet contract and mission requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between contract staff and Government Technical Monitors (GTMs).
  • Coordinate recruitment activities, candidate site visits, onboarding, orientation, and training.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and manage employee relations activities.
  • Monitor contractor productivity, compliance, and staffing effectiveness.
  • Ensure completion of required competencies, clinical in-services, and annual training.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and recommend operational enhancements.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in accordance with IHSC policies.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Privacy Act requirements, accreditation standards, and agency directives.
  • Participate in emergency response activities and maintain readiness to support facility operations.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or administrative experience in a complex healthcare environment.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, electronic health records, and web-based systems.

Preferred

  • Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency.
  • Experience in correctional, detention, residential, or institutional healthcare settings.

Work Environment

  • Full-time position supporting a 24/7 healthcare operation.
  • Must be available for emergency activations and after-hours consultation as needed.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Requires ability to respond to onsite emergencies and meet physical demands associated with a healthcare and detention environment.

Security Requirements

  • Must obtain and maintain a favorable Department of Homeland Security (DHS) background investigation and fitness determination.

 

In addition to Amergis’ standard benefits package, we are offering the following:

·         $59.64 plus an additional $5.09/hour up to 40 hours per week
