Shift Details

- Schedule: Nights, 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

- Hours per Week: 36

- Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation if scheduled

Job Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 36 months of respiratory care experience in a hospital or medical center setting.
• Specialized Experience: Must have experience in PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) or NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit), with the ability to work across both floors.
• Equipment Proficiency: High-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV), jet ventilation, and Servo U ventilation experience is highly preferred.
• Licenses and Certifications:
  • All relevant certifications and Iowa Respiratory Care Provider (RCP) license are required.
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification is required.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA or ARC is required.
  • NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care) certification is required.
• System Experience: Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records is required.

Profile Requirements

• Work history/resume must demonstrate a minimum of 24 months of current RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) experience.
• Skills checklist must specifically relate to respiratory therapy.
• Documentation of IDPH (Iowa Department of Public Health) or equivalent is highly preferred.
• Professional reference required from a charge nurse, supervisor, or nurse manager within the last 24 months.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
