Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in neurosurgical procedures, including craniotomies and complex spinal surgeries. This role requires versatility as the RN may float to other units as needed.

• Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (06:45 - 14:45)
• Float Requirement: Yes, may float to an outpatient surgical center
• Call Requirement: Yes, as assigned to meet departmental needs
• Weekend Shifts: Call only
• Pre-Approved Time Off: 1 Request

Experience & Qualifications

• Years of Experience Required: 1 year
• Trauma Level II Experience: Preferred
• Certifications:
  • BLS
  • CNOR (preferred)
• Professional Knowledge and Skills Required:
  • Administration of blood and blood products
  • Infection control
  • Laser Safety
  • Radiation Safety
  • Specimen Handling/Labeling
  • Universal Protocol (Time Out) Procedure
  • Wound Management

Skills Preferred

• Gynecology
• Abdominal/Vaginal Hysterectomy

Work Environment

This position will primarily be in a short-term acute care facility, which includes a Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center. The hospital supports a collaborative interdisciplinary environment with resources including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and more.
