Location: City, State

Shift: Night 4x10-Hour (21:00 - 07:00)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our dynamic emergency department. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of CT scans, including but not limited to routine emergency department patients, Code Stroke, and trauma patients. The position requires experience in a fast-paced environment with a focus on providing high-quality imaging services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform CT imaging procedures on patients of all ages, including adolescents, infants, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Operate Siemens and GE CT scanners, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Administer contrast media and prepare patients for scans.
  • Conduct specialized procedures such as biopsies, brain perfusion, and CT angiographies.
  • Utilize multiplanar reconstruction techniques for image analysis.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals in the emergency department to provide efficient patient care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and utilize the EPIC charting system.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist, preferably in a trauma environment.
  • Experience in a hospital with more than 500 beds is required.
  • Proficiency in operating Siemens and GE scanners is mandatory.
  • Certifications: ARRT (CT), ARRT (R), and BLS are required.
  • Knowledge of isolation precautions and radiation safety practices.

Equipment Utilized

  • Siemens S3000 and Sequoia Scanners
  • PACS for image management and storage

Work Environment

This position is situated within a busy emergency department known for handling a significant volume of patients, with daily patient scans averaging between 150-200. The department is equipped with four imaging rooms and supported by a dedicated team of technologists.

Additional Information

Orientation hours for this role are 48 hours. There are no floating or call requirements, allowing for a focused work environment during scheduled shifts. Scrubs will be royal blue.
