Job Summary

The CT Technologist will perform various computerized tomography (CT) procedures, ensuring high-quality imaging while adhering to safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in adult acute care as well as outpatient settings. This position requires attention to detail and proficiency in the use of CT equipment.

• Shift: Day shifts, 3x12-Hour (12:00 PM - 01:30 AM)
• Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years

• Orientation Hours: 64 hours
• Patient Age Groups: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
• Daily Caseload: Approximately 100 patients/day

Job Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans of various body parts, including abdomen, pelvis, chest, head, neck, spine, and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administer and prepare contrast media and start peripheral IVs.
• Conduct special procedures such as biopsies, drainage, and CT arthrography.
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure high-quality diagnostic results.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the CT department and equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications: ARRT (CT), BLS
• Experience in Level I Trauma settings and community hospitals
• Experience with neonates, infants, and pediatric patients
• Skills in advanced imaging techniques such as myelography and radiation therapy planning

Work Environment

The CT department is located within a 191-bed community hospital, featuring two CT scanners positioned near the Emergency Department. The department conducts a variety of exams, including general scans, cardiac imaging, and radiation treatment planning.

Schedule

The position requires availability for weekend shifts on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

Additional Information

All candidates must be fully vaccinated. This position will accept first-time travelers. The anticipated start date is subject to class and trainer availability, with travelers needing to be completely available to accommodate any potential schedule changes.
