Position Overview

This role involves providing exceptional care in the fields of Interventional Radiology, with a specialized focus on Neuro and Stroke procedures. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in managing and performing interventional radiology techniques, operating necessary equipment, and collaborating effectively within a healthcare team.

Shift Details

• Day shift: 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts from 07:00 AM to 05:30 PM
• Call requirements: Yes, including weekends and evenings/nights on a rotation basis

Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Interventional Radiology, specifically in Neuro and Stroke procedures
• Required scrub experience in Neuro procedures
• Preferred experience in teaching hospitals and trauma Level I facilities
• Travel experience is required; first-time travelers will not be accepted

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• ARRT certification (Advanced certification preferred)

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency with Epic and McKesson charting systems
• Experience with Siemens and Phillips equipment
• Skills in outpatient care, operating room, emergency department, and trauma care

Technical Skills and Responsibilities

• Venous access, including management of ports and central venous access
• Experience with various interventional procedures such as:
• Angioplasty
• Stent placement
• Embolization
• Liver biopsy
• Thoracentesis
• Paracentesis
• Nephrostomy and more
• Ability to maintain a sterile field during procedures
• PACs operation knowledge and experience

Patient Demographics

Majority of patients will be adults and geriatrics, with occasional adolescents.

Work Environment

Candidate will be working in a fast-paced interventional radiology setting, with an expected daily caseload of 13-17 procedures.

Additional Information

Hospital orientation and training will be provided during the first week, and candidates must be available for classes each day. Scrubs will be provided for this position.
