Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Med-Surg/Telemetry within a Progressive Care Unit (PCU). As a vital member of our interdisciplinary team, you will contribute your professional and clinical expertise in the provision and management of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care to patients in a Med-Surg/Telemetry and Progressive Care Unit setting.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
• Float to the Emergency Department as necessary within the same discipline.
• Ensure proper documentation of patient care in the electronic medical record system.
• Participate in patient education and advocacy to promote health and wellness.

Schedule

The position requires a commitment to work three 12-hour shifts per week, with weekend rotation scheduled every other weekend, and holiday shifts required every other holiday.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of previous step-down nursing experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Current National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
• Completion of skills checklist within the past year.
• One supervisory reference is required at the time of application.
• Taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility is required, with exceptions for specific local submissions.
