RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Float assignment across multiple units including Med Surg, BH, ED, ICU and post-procedural areas based on facility needs
• 12-hour shifts with guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend schedule required
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless unit is closed
• Patient ratios of 1:6
• Must have 24 months experience in Progressive Care, Stepdown, Med Surg, Tele or Med Surg/Telemetry
• First time travelers accepted with minimum 2 years nursing experience (hospital/medical center preferred)
• Required proficiency with IV drips: heparin, insulin, lasix, amiodarone, diltiazem, digoxin
• Must comfortably read EKG/ECG including all telemetry duties and dysrhythmia interpretation
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must complete Basic Dysrhythmia Assessment with 80% passing score during onboarding
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA/ARC), ACLS (AHA/ARC)
• Preferred certifications: De-Escalation Certificate (SAMA, MAB, MOAB, CPI), NIH Stroke Scale
• Active Iowa license or compact/multi-state license required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Minimum 50-mile radius requirement
