Position Responsibilities

AART Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain x-ray equipment, fluoroscopic equipment, and c-arm, ensuring functionality and safety.
• Capture and process x-ray, fluoroscopic, and c-arm images, ensuring high image quality and clarity.
• Oversee all aspects of quality control for the x-ray area as required.

CT Tech Responsibilities

• Operate computed tomography (CT) scanner to produce cross-sectional radiographs of patients for diagnostic purposes.
• Assist in administering contrast media as ordered by the Radiologist.
• Provide support to radiologists during interventional procedures, such as biopsies and injections, using CT images for guidance.
• Manage quality control for the CT area as required.

MRI Responsibilities

• Operate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients for diagnostic purposes.
• Interview patients to explain MRI procedures and request removal of any hazardous metal objects.
• Monitor the scan room to ensure no one enters with metal or other hazardous items.
• Manage all aspects of quality control for the MRI area as required.

All Modalities Responsibilities

• Transport patients according to their physical abilities relative to the exams requested.
• Guide and protect patients according to department policies and procedures, including compliance with all Federal, State, and DNV rules and standards.
• Utilize positioning aids as needed to produce quality examinations.
• Assist in scheduling staff and patient appointments to maximize efficiency while considering patient needs.
• Ensure all areas are clean, well-appointed, and welcoming for patients.
• Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
• Practice sterile technique and Universal Precautions.
• Evaluate exams for technical quality.
• Maintain records, logs, and reports according to department policies and procedures.
• Clean examination rooms and restock linen and supplies as necessary after each examination.
• Make follow-up calls to patients or physicians and perform other administrative tasks as needed.
• Assist in the training of Radiology students.

Shift Information

3-12 hour weekend day shifts per week, with occasional call and night shifts as per department rotation.

Holiday Coverage

Not required.

Minimum Years of Experience

1 year.
