Position: CT Technologist

Location: City, State

Shift: Night 4x10-Hour (19:00 - 05:00)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work independently during the night shift, performing 10 to 20 CT examinations per shift. An imaging patient transporter will be stationed in CT during the night shift to assist with patient transport.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans on various anatomical regions, including abdomen, pelvis, chest, head, neck, and spine.
• Prepare and administer contrast media as required for imaging.
• Start peripheral IVs as necessary.
• Ensure adherence to isolation precautions and PPE protocols.
• Work effectively with a range of patient age groups, including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
• Demonstrate competency in age-specific imaging techniques.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist.
• Certification in ARRT CT and ARRT R is preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Must hold a state license to perform CT imaging.

Work Environment

The position will involve working in adult acute care and outpatient settings. The primary equipment used includes the Siemens 64 slice GO for outpatient scanning and the Siemens 128 slice Definition Edge for emergency room imaging. Proficiency in using the Philips IntelliSpace PACS system is preferred.

• No travel experience required.
• Call is voluntary and not scheduled.
