Position: CT Technologist

Location: Janesville, WI

Shift: Nights, 36 hours per week

Job Summary

The CT Technologist is responsible for performing computed tomography procedures and related techniques to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation. This role may require alternating shifts, weekends, holidays, and participation in call coverage. Flexibility in hours and overtime may be necessary to ensure quality patient care at assigned sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic CT procedures.
• If assigned, perform radiographic, fluoroscopic, surgical, and portable radiographic exams.
• Verify and document patient's clinical history in relation to the procedure.
• Prepare patients for procedures, providing instructions to minimize anxiety and ensure cooperation.
• Select and operate imaging equipment, image capture devices, and necessary accessories.
• Position patients to effectively demonstrate the anatomic area of interest while respecting comfort and ability.
• Apply aseptic techniques as necessary.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and start/maintain intravenous access as appropriate.
• Initiate basic life support actions when required.
• Educate patients regarding procedures and safety measures.
• Contribute input for supply and equipment management, maintaining inventory control.
• Provide practical instruction for students and fellow staff members.
• Adhere to universal protocols and standard precautions, ensuring correct patient identification.
• Implement principles of patient safety throughout all procedures, including assistance and transportation of patients.

Education and Experience

• Graduate of an accredited radiography program (Education verification required).
• A minimum of 2 years of CT experience is required.

Certifications and Licensure

• ARRT Radiography registration required.
• ARRT Computed Tomography registration required.
• IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation required.
• Current CPR or BLS certification required.

Shift Information

• 3 - 12-hour shifts per week: 12 PM - 8 PM.
• Weekend rotation, holiday rotation, and required coverage for holidays.

Minimum Years of Experience

2 years of experience required.

Certifications/Requirements

• BLS/BCLS certification required.
• ARRT(R), ARRT(CT) certifications required.
