Job Summary

A Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing practices based on current evidence-based research, nursing policies, and standards of care. The role involves providing safe and excellent individualized patient care in the areas of CAT Scan, MRI, Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine/PET.

Essential Duties

• Evaluate patient needs and assist physicians in administering care.
• Plan, implement, and document nursing care tailored to the individual needs of patients.
• Identify patient care priorities through thorough assessment and evaluation.
• Develop, implement, and coordinate comprehensive plans of care for assigned patients through both initial and ongoing assessments.
• Initiate assessments based on identified patient problems and physician diagnoses.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions as necessary.
• Manage overall care of patients effectively.
• Document nursing interventions according to established standards and clinical priorities.
• Advocate for evidence-based care standards and promote innovative practices in care delivery.
• Provide patient-centered care in alignment with professional nursing norms.
• Collect detailed data relevant to patient health and specific situations.
• Conduct age and disease-specific assessments independently, focusing on physiological, psychological, and cognitive status.
• Recognize and respond to clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient condition.
• Identify educational needs for patients and families based on age, disease, and cultural considerations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience in an acute care facility.

Education

Required Education

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN).

Preferred Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Required Certifications & Licensure

• New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

Schedule Notes

• Location: City, State
• Shift: Evening, 3 PM - 11 PM
• Hours Per Week: 40
• Weekend Requirement: Every fifth weekend
• Holiday Requirement: As needed
