Job Opportunity

Position Details

We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to join our team in City, State. This position is for a night shift of 3x12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care for neonates in a Level 3 or 4 NICU.
  • Attend high-risk deliveries and manage care for critical infants.
  • Monitor and manage patient conditions, including ventilator support and IV therapy.
  • Perform procedures such as placement and management of central lines, UAC, and UVC.
  • Administer medications and emergency medications as required.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physical therapy and respiratory support.
  • Contribute to patient care planning and family education.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Level 3 or 4 NICU.
  • Current certifications in BLS and NRP are required.
  • Experience with various NICU-related procedures, including ECMO and therapeutic hypothermia.
  • Strong skills in thermoregulation and dysrhythmia interpretation are preferred.
  • Ability to float to pediatric and PICU settings, caring for infants up to 12 months old.

Work Schedule

  • 3x12-hour night shifts, working from 18:45 to 07:15.
  • Weekend requirement of 3 Fridays, 3 Saturdays, and 3 Sundays within a 6-week period.
  • Self-scheduling according to unit needs.

Orientation & Training

New hires will undergo 24 hours of unit orientation to ensure readiness for assignments.

Unit Environment

  • Patient Ratios: 1:2-4 during all shifts.
  • Use of advanced medical equipment including Tecotherm, BCPAP, and Servo Vents.
  • Interdisciplinary support from services including pharmacy, radiology, and social services.
