Position Overview

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). This role is crucial for assessing the physiological, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients and planning nursing care accordingly.

Responsibilities

• Assess and identify the physiological, emotional, and spiritual needs of each patient within the assigned unit.
• Develop and implement comprehensive nursing care plans to address patient needs.
• Lead and support subordinate personnel in the execution of nursing care plans.
• Conduct patient evaluations and document progress effectively.
• Participate in treatment planning and discharge processes.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of current CVICU experience.
• Open-heart experience is required.
• Active Illinois nursing license.
• Proof of COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations; declinations will not be accepted.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
• Experience with Cerner is strongly preferred.
• Preferred experience with thoracic, vascular, and interventional procedures.

Work Schedule

• 12-hour day shifts with potential unit floating.
• Weekend duty required every other weekend.
