Position: CO - RN L&D Level II - Nursery/PP

Experience

Minimum of one year of clinical experience is required.

Education

Applicants must possess at least an Associate Nursing Degree for positions hired after July 1, 2018.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Colorado or from a valid compact state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Position Overview

This role involves providing care for antepartum patients, supporting laboring patients through childbirth, and assisting with recovery and postpartum care. Responsibilities also include lactation education, family-centered care, and caring for well newborns in a Level 2 Nursery. The nurse will deliver compassionate and individualized nursing care while collaborating with healthcare providers, staff, and team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Essential Job Functions

• Manage daily patient flow to ensure high-quality care, safety, and satisfaction.
• Utilize triage skills to assess incoming patient requests for services.
• Provide patient education to support care plans and promote wellness.
• Delegate care tasks responsibly in accordance with Colorado statutes.
• Exhibit strong healthcare assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking skills.
• Handle high volumes of patient requests over the phone for medications, information, and assistance.
• Administer medications and perform treatments with strict adherence to safety guidelines.
• Coordinate patient care with other healthcare providers to enhance patient satisfaction and outcomes.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while delivering excellent service.
• Advocate for patient safety and preferences through effective communication with patients and families.
• Embody the principles of a Just Culture and uphold Organizational Values.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance at all times.
