Position Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse

Location: Herrin, IL

Shift Information:

10-hour shifts for 4 days per week, with shifts scheduled from 08:00 to 18:30. Call is required on a rotating basis.

Job Description:

The Operating Room Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care in the operating room environment. This role involves assessing patients to determine their comprehensive needs and collaborating with a multidisciplinary health care team to implement individualized care plans. The RN will also be involved in various surgical procedures, including heavy orthopedic, urology, spine procedures, and robotic surgeries.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assess patients to identify their mental, physical, and spiritual needs.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient care in collaboration with the health care team.
• Provide clear explanations and instructions to patients and responsible parties.
• Utilize clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient conditions.
• Contribute to a positive workplace environment through effective communication and conflict management.
• Meet Core Measure responsibilities related to patient care.
• Engage in ongoing education to maintain professional competency.
• Ensure complete and accurate medical records are maintained.

Licenses and Certifications:

• Current Registered Nurse license in Illinois
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• ACLS certification

Experience Requirements:

A minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant clinical setting is required.

Additional Requirements:

The candidate must be willing to float to other facilities as needed and participate in call requirements, which may include 1 weeknight and 2 weekend days per month, or more based on departmental needs.
