Description
Position Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to assess patient needs, implement appropriate interventions, and facilitate patient and family education. The RN is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Minimum Qualifications
- Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse)
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Provider certification
- STABLE certification
- A minimum of one year of nursing experience in NICU, Labor & Delivery, Emergency Department (ED), or Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

- Conduct comprehensive assessments pertinent to patient health or situations.
- Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues.
- Identify expected outcomes for individualized patient care plans.
- Develop and implement plans that prescribe strategies to achieve expected outcomes.
- Employ strategies promoting health and ensuring a safe environment.
- Enhance the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
- Maintain knowledge and competency reflecting current nursing practices.
- Evaluate personal nursing practice against professional standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and colleagues in nursing practice.
- Integrate ethical considerations into all aspects of practice.
- Incorporate research findings into clinical practice.
- Provide leadership in the nursing profession and practice setting.

- Demonstrate sound judgment and professionalism in all interactions.

Stroke Competency
- Adhere to hospital policies and protocols for the care of patients with hyperacute and acute strokes.
- Complete two hours of initial education on cerebrovascular disease (stroke) within the first year of hire.
- Participate in one hour of annual education on cerebrovascular disease (stroke).
Shift Information
This position requires working varied shifts, including days, nights, and weekends. Holiday coverage is also required.
Minimum Years of Experience
1 year of relevant nursing experience is required.
Certifications/Requirements
- BLS/BCLS certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- STABLE certification
