Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our dynamic healthcare team. This position is responsible for delivering high-quality respiratory care across various patient age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in critical care settings, particularly in Level 3 or 4 NICUs or PICUs, and will demonstrate a commitment to patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services in adult critical care, pediatric critical care, and NICU settings.
• Assist in high-risk deliveries and conduct ventilator management, including BiPAP and CPAP setups.
• Administer aerosol treatments and manage medication delivery systems.
• Perform thorough interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs).
• Conduct bronchoscopies and manage various airway devices, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Support clinical practices, such as tracheostomy care, sputum specimen collection, and pulmonary hygiene.
• Work effectively with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Level 3 or 4 NICU or PICU settings.
• Current certifications: BLS and CRT required. ACLS, NRP, PALS, and RRT are preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot high-pressure alarms.
• Experience with various ventilators, particularly Puritan Bennett, Draeger, and Servo-I.
• Familiarity with charting systems, preferably Epic.

Shift Details

• Shift: 3x12 Hour Night Shift (19:00 - 07:30)
• Weekend requirements: Every other weekend.
• Orientation hours: 36 hours.
• Guaranteed hours: 60 hours per two weeks.

Work Environment

This role is located in a Magnet-designated, Level II trauma facility that is highly regarded for its excellence in patient care. The environment includes a 28-bed adult ICU, a 9-bed PICU, and a 66-bed Level 3 NICU. The facility is equipped to conduct various high-level clinical procedures and utilizes advanced medical technology to support patient health.
