Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse works collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team, plans and implements patient and family education, and is responsible for assessing patient needs while initiating appropriate interventions.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse)
• American Heart Association BLS certification
• STABLE certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification (recertification required every 2 years)
• Competence in and willingness to practice modified primary nursing

Preferred Qualifications:

• L&D experience (antepartum, intrapartum, preop, circulate, PACU) preferred

Essential Job Functions:

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health (Assessment)
• Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues (Diagnosis)
• Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient (Plan of Care)
• Develop and implement a plan that prescribes strategies to achieve expected outcomes
• Promote health and maintain a safe environment
• Enhance the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice
• Achieve and maintain knowledge and competency reflecting current nursing practices
• Evaluate personal nursing practice in relation to professional standards and guidelines
• Collaborate effectively with patients, families, and others in nursing practice
• Incorporate ethical provisions in all areas of nursing practice
• Apply research findings to practice
• Provide leadership within the professional practice setting

Schedule Requirements:

This role requires regular and sustained attendance. The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts. Holiday coverage is required.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent lifting (up to 50 pounds) and moving of patients or objects
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
• Ability to maintain focus and complete tasks independently
• Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, chemicals, and infectious diseases
