Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient health and medical needs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions and treatment options.
• Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Participate in patient assessments and provide ongoing patient support.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required.
• Experience in a telemetry unit or progressive care unit (PCU) is preferred.
• Certification in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS is required.
• Proficiency in EPIC electronic health record system is required.
• Ability to float to sister units as needed.
• Willingness to work every other weekend.

Patient Population

The patient population includes those with various diagnoses such as:

• Cardiac conditions
• Respiratory issues
• COVID-19
• Infectious diseases
• Pre and post-operative care
• Endocrine disorders
• CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident)

Work Schedule

This position is for night shifts, requiring 4 shifts per week (12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00). A block schedule is not utilized.

Additional Information

• Float requirements: Yes, may float to corresponding sister units.
• Local candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.
• This unit accepts first-time travelers.
