Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room (ER)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Emergency Room (ER) care. This position requires the ability to function independently under the general guidance of the Director, adhering to unit-specific guidelines, protocols, and policies. The RN will utilize time management, communication, planning, delegation, and problem-solving skills to provide high-quality patient care. Critical thinking skills and emotional stability in emergency settings are essential.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of current Emergency Room experience
• ED Triage and Cardiac Room experience preferred
• IV Certification preferred
• Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred
• ENPC and CEN certifications preferred
• BSN preferred
• Traveler must have their own vehicle
• Permanent address must be included in the profile

Work Schedule

This position involves working 12-hour night shifts, totaling 36 hours per week. The RN is required to work every other weekend and is on call for holidays as needed. The candidate must be prepared to work during major holidays, including:

• Thanksgiving Day and the following Friday
• Christmas Eve through Christmas Day
• New Year’s Eve through New Year’s Day

Requests for time off during the assignment must be noted and verified at the time of submission, and no more than 5 days will be accepted.

Dress Code

Personal scrubs of any color are acceptable.

Certification Requirements

• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Active American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Active American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Massachusetts RN License must be uploaded with the profile
