Description

Speech Language Pathologist

Shift Details

Shift starts at 8:00 am and ends at 4:30 pm. The incumbent is required to work one weekend every month, providing care within an inpatient setting.

Qualifications

Master's Degree in Speech Pathology
NYS licensure
Clinical certification in Speech Pathology (or its equivalent)
Completion of clinical fellowship year
Ability to successfully pass pre-employment health clearance

Duties and Responsibilities

Administer evaluations to diagnose speech, language, cognition, communication, and swallowing disorders.
Establish and provide treatment programs for individuals with deficits in speech, language, cognitive, voice, and/or swallowing disorders.
Schedule patients for evaluations and treatments based on their needs.
Provide education to patients, families, and staff regarding disorders of speech, language, cognition, voice, and/or swallowing.
Participate in program development for the speech therapy discipline and related departments.
