Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

This position primarily involves working in Labor & Delivery while also floating to the Med Surg floor when Labor & Delivery is closed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, manage labor progression, and assist with deliveries.
• Respond promptly to obstetric emergencies and provide effective patient and family communication.
• Offer emotional support to patients during significant moments in their lives, ensuring a positive birth experience.
• Deliver safe, efficient, and caring nursing services to achieve high standards of patient care in Labor & Delivery and Obstetrics.
• Administer medications, perform cervical exams within scope, and interpret fetal monitoring strips.
• Prepare patients for operative deliveries and provide postpartum education.
• Promote optimal outcomes for both mother and newborn.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in both Labor & Delivery.
• Must possess a current Montana RN license.
• Certification in NRP and BLS is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field is preferred.

Shift Information

This position requires (3) 12-hour day shifts. Holiday coverage may be required.
