Description
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary certifications and experience to provide exceptional care in a high-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients during labor and delivery.
- Perform assessments, develop care plans, and implement appropriate interventions.
- Monitor fetal and maternal well-being during labor.
- Administer medications and therapies as prescribed.
- Coordinate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care accurately and comprehensively in electronic health records.
- Float to other units as necessary to meet staffing needs.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
- Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
- Proficiency in IV start and experience in Labor and Delivery required.
- Familiarity with Epic electronic health record system preferred.
- Previous travel nursing experience is a plus.
Shift Details
This position requires working night shifts, specifically three 12-hour shifts per week.
