Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Pediatric Emergency Care to join our team. This role will involve providing high-quality care to pediatric patients in a fast-paced emergency environment.

Shift Information

Nights: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
36 hours per week
Holiday rotation required
No on-call duties
Every 4th weekend required

Unit Details

Patient Types: Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, Medical Surgical, and other Pediatric specialties
Potential to float to NICU, General Floor B3, and PICU
Staffing Ratios: 1:4
Bed Size: 12

Qualifications

At least 24 months of pediatric experience required
At least 15 months of experience in a Pediatric Emergency Room
Recent experience with EPIC electronic medical record systems required
Completed at least one travel contract within the past 18 months
De-escalation certification preferred

Licensure and Certifications

Active Iowa/IA license or compact/multi-state license required
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
TNCC certification required

Orientation Details

Orientation date is scheduled for January 4th.
