Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary experience and certifications to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an Emergency Department setting.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS.
• Mandatory competency in phlebotomy and IV placement.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a combined adult and pediatric emergency department.
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, including their management in patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure.
• Administer blood products and manage central lines.
• Perform essential procedures including starting IVs and administering continuous IV paralytics and sedation.
• Administer emergency medications and IV vasopressors.
• Deliver procedural sedation and care for patients with strokes (CVA) while following isolation precautions.
• Float to other departments as needed based on patient census.

Shift Information

This position requires working night shifts of 3x12 hours, specifically from 19:00 to 07:00. Every other weekend duty is required.

Charting and Documentation

• Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
• Scrub colors required: any combination of navy and white.

Other Requirements

Minimal requests for time off (RTO) will be considered, but the ability to accommodate is not guaranteed. Local candidates will not be accepted beyond 75 miles from the facility.
