Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery (L&D)

Join our skilled nursing team in providing exceptional care in our specialized Labor & Delivery unit, where each birth experience is treated as unique and individual. Our dedicated staff is committed to supporting patients through a variety of birthing options, ranging from natural childbirth to full epidural anesthesia, 24 hours a day.

Department Information

• 8 Bed Unit
• Patient-to-Nurse Ratio: 1:1 (active labor), 1:2/3 for Mother-Baby

Role Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will deliver personalized nursing care, ensuring comfort and medical support throughout the labor process. Responsibilities include:

• Monitoring fetal heart rates and maternal well-being
• Assisting with various birthing methods and pain management options
• Providing education and support to patients and their families

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery/OB experience
• Experience in fetal monitoring is essential
• Previous travel nursing experience is highly preferred
• Current certifications in BLS (AHA), AWHONN, NRP required
• STABLE certification is highly preferred
• Labor & Delivery skills checklist completed within the past year
• One supervisory signed reference from the past year of employment
• Active state nursing license verification is required

Work Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM
• 36 hours per week, with every other weekend commitment required
