RN Invasive Cardiology

Summary of Responsibilities

Provide care for critically ill patients in the Cardiac Cath Lab who are undergoing Interventional Cardiology and Endovascular procedures. Responsibilities include being assigned STEMI call with a required response time of 30 minutes.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Cath Lab experience with preoperative and postoperative skills.
• Experience in monitoring and sedation of patients.
• Proficient in advanced hemodynamic monitoring, including IABP and IMPELLA management.
• Experience in ventilator management is essential.

Required Licenses/Certifications

• Valid RN licensure in the state of Ohio.
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Physical Environment

Role may involve sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and walking intermittently throughout the day. Standing for extended periods may be necessary. Must possess normal vision with or without correction and normal hearing with or without correction. Ability to lift 250-300 lbs. with assistance and push/pull up to 500 lbs. with assistance is required. Some exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, chemicals, and cleaning products may occur.

Shift Information

Shifts are available in the following timeframes: 0630-1730, 0700-1730, and 0800-1830. Holiday coverage will be required, and on-call shifts will be assigned based on unit rotation, with a minimum callback duration for STEMI of 4 hours.

Minimum Years of Experience

One year of relevant experience is required.
