Diagnostic Imaging Technologist CT

Job Summary: The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist CT is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and reliable evaluation and execution of Radiology procedures, equipment, and staff. This role prioritizes activities that directly impact customer service for employees, medical staff, patients, and regulatory agencies.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain confidentiality of patient and hospital information.
• Comply with all hospital policies and procedures, especially regarding incident reporting.
• Perform related duties as required.
• Demonstrate proficiency in performing CT procedures as requested by referring physicians.
• Implement adequate radiation safety practices for both patients and co-workers.
• Participate in all Radiology Management System functions related to patient procedures.
• Provide necessary patient education.
• Maintain effective communication with referring physicians and radiologists to ensure efficient delivery of CT procedures.
• Abide by service delivery standards during interactions with patients, visitors, employees, and other customers.
• Adhere to accepted clinical principles, methods, and procedures while performing CT procedures.

Education & Certifications:

• Required Education: Associate’s degree in radiologic technology.
• Required Certifications & Licensure:
  • NYS Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License with Injection Registered
  • ARRT(R)
  • BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross)
• Preferred Certifications & Licensure: ARRT CT Registration.

Schedule Notes:

Nights, 36 hours per week, including Fri, Sat, Sun, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. ARRT (CT) preferred, but manager will consider a radiologic technologist cross-trained in CT.

Experience with GE X-ray and Siemens CT and Fluoroscopy preferred. Please ensure to state your Radiologic Technology Associate's education in your resume.
