Travel RN - Telemetry Unit
Location: Wichita, Kansas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Information
- Unit: Med Surg / PCU (Progressive Care Unit)
- Number of Beds: 14
- Patient Ratio: 1:4
- Staffing: RNs and Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) available; night and day shifts
- Equipment: Chest tubes, IV pumps, various drains
- EMR System: Meditech
- Scheduling: Every other weekend required
- Floating: Must be available to float to other units
- Patient Experience: Emphasis on positive attitude, patient-centered care, critical thinking, teamwork, and engagement
Required Certifications & Licenses
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIH Certification
- Registered Nurse License
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN in the specialty
- No mention of prior travel experience required
Skills & Procedures
- Knowledge of medication drips, central lines, heart cath recovery preferred
- No advanced skills required; advanced skills will not be considered
- Procedures performed are non-invasive
Additional Information

- Candidates without required certifications will not be considered
- Floating to other units is mandatory
