Description

Job Opportunity: Med/Surge Telemetry Nurse

Location: Springfield, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long Term

Unit Description

Daly 3 Observation Unit
38-bed short stay unit for patients admitted under observation status
Most patients come from the Emergency Department for additional testing before discharge (e.g., Echo, stress test, MRI)

Patient Care & Cases

Cases include ACS rule out, TIA rule out, pain control, and some overnight surgical cases
Expected nurse-to-patient ratio: up to 1:7 (aiming for 1:6)

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience preferred
Certifications: Telemetry required, BLS required
Experience: Med Surg and/or Surgical experience required; Telemetry experience required
Skills: IV insertion preferred but not required

Contract Length

13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
