Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Labor and Delivery) - Travel/Contract
Location: Clinton, Maryland

Position Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (Labor and Delivery)
- Shift: 36 hours, Day shift
- Ratio: 1:2 nurse to patient ratio
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Experience & Skills Required
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- At least 1 prior travel assignment required
- Skills: Circulate, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), preceptor and/or charge nurse experience
- Preferred: Triage experience and high-risk Labor & Delivery experience
Certifications Required
- AWHONN Intermediate
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- STABLE
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC certified
- Must register for C-EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) during compliance phase or within first 2 weeks of assignment
- Preferred: C-EFM certification through NCC
Job Requirements & Responsibilities
- 36-hour contract call required: 24 hours over a 6-week period
- Must be on premises within 45 minutes of call
- Weekend and holiday coverage every other weekend/holiday as needed
- Float to like units (e.g., Mother/Baby); travelers float before permanent staff
- No guaranteed set schedule
Facility & Work Environment
- Charting system: Cerner
- Scrubs provided
- Teaching hospital, member of the Council of Teaching Hospitals (COTH)
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Criminal background check within 90 days including all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
- Education verification for highest degree required by position
- Drug screen within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana), updated annually
- Annual physical exam confirming ability to work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
- Immunizations and health documentation required:
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years preferred
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within required timeframe
- Documentation of MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccines or positive titers
- Hepatitis B titer, series, or signed declination
- Varicella vaccine or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
- COVID-19 vaccination strongly recommended; declination requires mask use
- N95 Fit Test within 9 months of start, updated annually (not required for Sterile Processing Tech)
Additional Requirements
- Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
- Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education, employment, licenses, and contact information
- Skills checklist required prior to start and updated annually
- Medication, pharmacology, competency, and EKG/dysrhythmia exams required with passing scores (80% or higher) within 3 years of start
- Facility-specific modules (SITELS) must be completed by hire date
