Job Opportunity: Operating Room Surgical Team (RN, Scrub Tech, Anesthesia Tech)

Position Details

• Employment Type: Contractor
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Location: Operating Room split between two locations within the same hospital building (with rare floating to a surgery center across town)
• Schedule:

  • No call for RN, Scrub Tech, or Anesthesia Tech
  • Weekend rotation possible, no regular weekends required
  • May work some holidays
  • Shift times as per posting
• Orientation: Two 8-hour shifts on the unit

Experience & Requirements

• Minimum Experience: 2 years (bariatric experience required)
• First-time travelers: Considered upon review
• Patient Types: General surgical patients including Robotics (DaVinci XI), ENT, Plastics, Urology, Bariatrics, GYN, minor Vascular Surgery, Neuro, Orthopedics, Cardiac, Ophthalmology, Endovascular, fistulas
• Beds: 19 ORs split between two locations

Required Licensure & Certifications

• RN: BLS certification required
• Scrub Tech: CST and BLS certifications required
• Anesthesia Tech: BLS certification required

Skills & Responsibilities

RN

• Circulate, assist with intubation/extubation, patient positioning
• Robotics experience (DaVinci XI) is a must
• Key focus areas: ENT, Endovascular, Minor vascular, Robotics

Scrub Tech

• Scrubbing, assisting with sterile processing, patient positioning
• Robotics experience (DaVinci XI) is a must

Anesthesia Tech

• Room turnover, refill gases, safety checks on equipment, stocking supplies

Work Environment & Support

• Tech to Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Telemetry Monitoring: Yes, monitored by anesthesiologist
• Charge Nurse: Available Monday through Friday; no charge nurse on weekends/holidays
• Floating: Between Main OR and East side OR (same building), rarely to West Side surgery center
• Scrub Color: Provided
• Parking: Free, on site

Technology & Equipment

• EMR: EPIC
• IV Pumps: Alaris
• Medication Dispensing: Pyxis

Additional Notes

• No more than 4 days of Return to Office (RTO) will be approved
• No call responsibilities
• Must have experience with eye surgery cases
